Greenpark Nature Trail

As there is so much to see and do at Greenpark, we have provided a circular walk, Greenpark Nature Trail, around the woodlands to help you enjoy the wildlife we have here. If you keep your eyes and ears open, you will be amazed what you might spot during your visit.

Golf

There are many golf facilities in the area.  Only two miles away is Inchmarlo Golf Centre with a driving range and a 9 hole golf courses.  Banchory Golf Club is just over two miles away with a scenic golf course along the banks of the River Dee.  Other inland golf facilities within 20 miles include Torphins, Aboyne, Peterculter, Ballater, Alford, Tarland, Kintore, Kemnay, Pine Trees Driving Range at Kemnay and Inverurie.  Links courses including the championship courses at Cruden Bay and Carnoustie are only an hour away.

Fishing

Fishing is available on the River Dee (comprehensive information at www.fishdee.co.uk) and Don.  Two miles away are fishing ponds at Raemoir Trout Fishery near Banchory.

Hill walking, running and cycling

There are many walks on Deeside from gentle strolls along the many forest tracks and river banks to more demanding hill climbs such as Lochnagar (3500 feet, 1000m).

Running the Highlands organise running holidays in the Eastern Cairngorms and Royal Deeside for runners of all abilities.

CycleHighlands organise mountain bike adventures on Royal Deeside and can arrange to deliver and collect hire bikes.

Activity centres

Activity centres which offer clay pigeon shooting, archery, quad biking etc are available at Deeside Activity Park, Restaurant and Farm Shop and Lochter, Oldmeldrum.

Skiing and snowboarding

The nearest ski centres are about 50 miles away at Glenshee and the Lecht.  Summer activities are also available at these centres.
